ABOUT THE ACTING WORKSHOP

• What does this acting workshop offer to the participants?

  An Awareness Of:
  •⁠ ⁠The overall current in the body, how to generate it and use it to perform.
  •⁠ ⁠The transition from you to the Actor to the character and the way back. Thereby, emphasizing on what transforms you into a neutral state of being.
  •⁠ ⁠Using breath to generate multiple emotions.

  A Training Of:
  •⁠ ⁠The breath, such that it strengthens your voice preparing it for performance.
  •⁠ ⁠The face, such that it can respond to your mind and your breath to reflect multiple intricate emotions at given point of time.
  •⁠ ⁠The physicality of the Actor’s body to create multiple sensations and traits.

  A Technique To:
  •⁠ ⁠Process the Director’s instruction of a scene.
  •⁠ ⁠Experience the process of building a character step by step and how to use it just before a shoot or a theatre performance.
  •⁠ ⁠Work on a script. A detailed process of how to look at a script and what information to extract from it for the Actor to process.

• What is the workshop course structure?

  The workshop is a complete technique in itself which trains the actor’s mind, voice, body and emotions. Mr. Neeraj Kabi will work on the floor with participants using key techniques and methods that he has evolved in his personal practice towards achieving transformation and truth when performing a role on stage or cinema. It will give the participants a technique and grammar of acting that they can practice for years together to be able to work as a professional actor in theatre, films and OTT. All sessions are curated and conducted by Mr. Kabi himself.

• What is the fee and fee policy of the workshop?

  The Fees is Rs. 32,000. Fees once paid are not refundable.

• Who is this workshop for?

  The workshop is for everyone 18 years and above – for established actors, up-and-coming actors, aspiring actors and non-actors regardless of their background who wish to explore the craft of acting.

• Which language would it be conducted in?

  The workshop would be conducted in English and Hindi.

• How many participants in a workshop?

  The number of participants differ in each batch. Usually, it ranges between 30-50.

• What is the registration policy of the workshop?

  We confirm registrations on ‘First Come, First Served’ basis only. Seats are confirmed only on full payment of the fees.

• When would it be announced?
